Course Description

Second of a four-semester sequence, MUSC 1301 Class Piano II expands upon keyboard skills and concepts covered in MUSC 1300 Class Piano I. 

Emphasis is placed on the preparation for a piano proficiency exam required of most four-year music degree programs. Non-music majors must have instructor’s permission to enroll.

Purpose

The purpose of MUSC 1301 Class Piano II is to develop or expand solo performance and/or accompanying skills through individual instruction, ensemble activities, performance opportunities, and individual practice and study. MUSC 1301 Class Piano II may be applied as an elective for the Associates of Fine Arts degree in music.
